Scrabble National Championships

This may interest only myself and a few select friends, but what the hey. The Scrabble National Championships are being held August 3-8 in Dayton, Ohio. I talked to a couple guys ranked in the top 200 or so, and they encouraged me to join the NSA and play at this tourney. It scares me though, getting all competitive with tiles... I respect the brains on many of these guys and gals, but man, you can tell they study the hell out of those words lists... and that they don't make time for much else.
